They are refined sugar free so make the perfect guilt free sweet treat.If you’ve read my blog before you will know I’m a big fan of bliss balls and love experimenting with different flavour combinations.  My Thermomix Chocolate Chia Bliss Balls are by far the most popular recipe on the blog followed by my Goji Berry Bliss Balls.

They’re a really handy snack to keep in the fridge to satisfy sweet cravings and as long as you don’t eat too many!  A lot of Bliss Ball recipes call for Medjool dates but quite frankly I find them to be overpriced, probably because they are shipped in from the USA.  I’ve just used normal dates and added a bit of coconut oil to help bind them together.

The pitted dates you buy from the supermarket occasionally have stone fragments left in them so it’s definitely worth checking.

Ingredients

  • 100 g pistachios
  • 150 g dates ((pitted))
  • 50 g dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • quarter of a teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Add the pistachios to the TM bowl and grind 10 sec/speed 9.
  2. Add the dates and the cranberries and chop 10 sec/speed 7.
  3. Add the maple syrup, coconut oil & salt and mix all together for 15 sec/speed 5.
  4. Roll into walnut shaped balls and refrigerate for half an hour before eating.  Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
