These Thermomix Hemp Protein Balls are packed full of goodness! They are a great source of energy and perfect for a nutritious snack any time of the day.
The Hemp plant is a relation to the marijuana plant and can be consumed safely without hallucinations. It’s only recently been approved for consumption in Australia in November 2017, prior to that you could buy it and use it but it just had a label on it saying for cosmetic purposes only. It’s one of the best sources of plant proteins which makes it idea for vegan diets.
You can never have too many raw little balls in your repertoire. Here are some of my favourites that I’ve made in the Thermomix.
Thermomix Hemp Protein Balls
- 200 g dates, pitted
- 50g quinoa flakes
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons powdered hemp seed
Add all the ingredients to the Thermomix bowl and chop for 20 sec/speed 5.
Roll into walnut sized balls and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden.
Keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
