How to make quiona in the Thermomix the easy way.
- 1000 g water
- 50 g quinoa
- Insert the simmering basket into the mixing bowl and weigh in the quinoa. Rinse the quinoa under a cold tap. This removes the natural coating called saponin which can make it taste bitter. Store bought quinoa is often pre-rinsed but it doesn’t hurt to give it another go.
- Add the water and insert the basket back into the bowl and cook for 18 mins/varoma/speed 2 with the MC on.
- When the 18 minutes is up, check the quinoa is cooked if not cook for another couple of minutes or so.
- Take out of mixing bowl and fluffy up with a fork before serving.
I find that 50g is enough for one serve. If you would like to cook more Thermomix Quinoa, the instructions stay the same.
