80gunsalted butter, chopped, plus extra for greasing
110gRice Bubbles, or Rice Krispies, or Rice Pops
Chocolate Topping
275gmilk melting chocolate, note 1
1tablespoonvegetable oil
Instructions
Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper, leaving an overhang on two sides.
Chop the Mars Bars into 2cm pieces and add to the Thermomix bowl with the butter. Melt for 5 min/60°C/speed 2.5 (it’s fine if not completely smooth). Scrape down the bowl and stir well to combine.
Add the Rice Bubbles and mix for 20 sec/reverse/speed 3 until combined. Scrape down the bowl and stir well.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin and press down firmly with the back of a spoon until smooth and level, making sure to reach the corners. Place in the fridge while you make the topping.
For the chocolate topping, clean and dry the Thermomix bowl. Add the chocolate and grate for 8 sec/speed 10. Scrape down, add the oil, then melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2. If needed, heat for a further 1-2 minutes.
Pour the melted chocolate over the slice and smooth the top with a spoon or palette knife. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until set.
To serve, remove from the fridge 30 minutes before cutting. Slice into squares using a warm knife.
Notes
Mars Bars - use any size bars, as long as the total weight is around 190 g.Milk chocolate - use baking chocolate melts (such as Cadbury or Nestlé) for best results.
