Add 500g cold waterto the Thermomix bowl. Insert the simmering basket and place the eggs inside.
Cook on Varoma/speed 1 with the measuring cup in place, according to your preference. For soft boiled eggs, cook for 10 minutes. For hard boiled eggs, cook for 14 minutes.
Notes
The above times are based on cooking extra-large fridge-cold eggs. Refer to the cooking time table in the recipe post above for other egg sizes and doneness levels.
This method can be used to cook up to 6 eggs at a time, depending on size. Arrange them in the simmering basket in a single layer where possible.
Store hard-boiled eggs in their shells in the fridge for up to a week.
When peeling eggs, a little butter can help the shells slip off more easily.
