Add 500g cold waterto the Thermomix bowl. Insert the simmering basket and place the eggs inside.
Cook on Varoma/speed 1 with the measuring cup in place, according to your preference. For soft boiled eggs, cook for 10 minutes. For hard boiled eggs, cook for 14 minutes.
Note: The above times are based on cooking extra-large fridge-cold eggs. Refer to the cooking time table in the recipe post above for other egg sizes and doneness levels.
Notes
This method can be used to cook up to 6 eggs at a time, depending on size. Arrange them in the simmering basket in a single layer where possible.
Store hard-boiled eggs in their shells in the fridge for up to a week.
When peeling eggs, a little butter can help the shells slip off more easily.
