Pour 1200g of cold water into the Thermomix bowl. Set the Thermomix to boil the water for 9 min/100°C/speed 1 with the measuring cap on. Extend by a minute or two if it's not yet boiled.
Once the water has boiled, add the spaghetti through the hole in the lid and cook for 11 min/100°C/reverse/speed 1. Keep the measuring cap off while it's cooking. Test that the spaghetti is cooked through; if not, extend the cooking time by a minute or two.
Drain immediately with the simmering basket or a colander and serve with your favourite sauce.
Notes
For this recipe, I've used the Thermomix to boil the water before cooking the spaghetti, but to speed things up, you could boil the water in the kettle. As long as it's 100°C before the spaghetti hits it, it should be fine.Spaghetti portion sizes can vary depending on which you make. The rule of thumb is to cook between 75g to 100g per person.
