1825g can of pear halves in juice or 2 x 400g tins, you could also use fresh peeled pears
125gplain flour
25gcocoa powder
100gbrown sugar
150gunsalted butter, softened at room temperature
50gmilk
1teaspoonof baking powder
¼teaspoonof bicarbonate of soda
2eggs
2teaspoonsof vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F (180°C fan) and grease a 22cm square or oval ovenproof dish or one of similar proportions. You could also use 4-6 ramekins.
Drain the pears and arrange them on the base of the dish (without the juice).
Put all the remaining ingredients into the Thermomix bowl and mix for 15 sec/speed 5. Scrape down the sides and mix again for 15 sec/speed 5 until the mixture is fully incorporated.
Spread the batter evenly over the pears and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
Let it stand out of the oven for 5-10 minutes before serving with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
Storage: Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge then reheated in the microwave when needed.
