An easy and delicious recipe for Thermomix Pizza Dough which makes wonderful pizza bases. Once you master this recipe you'll never order take out again.
Add the lukewarm water, sugar and yeast into the Thermomix bowl and mix for30 sec/speed 2.
Add the flour, olive oil and salt and mix for 5 sec/speed 5.
Knead for 2 min/dough function.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board and roll into a ball. Place the dough into an oiled bowl so that it doesn't stick to the sides. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a tea towel and leave to rise until doubled in size (approx. 45 mins - 1 hour depending on the climate).
To bake: After the dough has risen, knock back and cut in half. Roll each half out into a round or oblong shape. Add your favourite toppings then bake in a hot oven of 220°C/425°F (200°C fan) for 10-15 minutes.
Notes
Pizza dough can be made ahead and left in the fridge to rise. It will keep for 3 days.To freeze pizza dough: Wait for the dough to rise then knock back and form a ball. Cut into whatever size you like and store in the freezer in zip lock bags for up to 3 months. To thaw, leave on the bench top for 1-3 hours depending on the size of the dough ball.
