Add the sesame seeds to the Thermomix bowl and roast for 10 min/100°C/speed 1.
Allow the sesame seeds to cool for a few minutes, then add a pinch of salt and grind for 30 sec/speed 10.
Add the oil and blend for 1 min/speed 6. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl with a spatula and blend again for 1 min/speed 6. Scrape down the bowl and blend again for 1 min/speed 6 until smooth and creamy.
Transfer the tahini to a glass jar or airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to a month. If the mixture separates, stir it with a spoon.
Notes
1. Sesame seeds: You can use white or black sesame seeds.2. Oil: Use a neutral-flavoured oil such as sunflower, grapeseed or avocado. I don't recommend olive oil as it has a strong flavour.
