Recipe Ingredients

- Chocolate - I prefer using dark chocolate, but any type will work. Milk chocolate will make it sweeter, so you may want to reduce the amount added.
- Milk - any milk works for this recipe. I like to use half cow's milk and half almond milk.
- Marshmallows - optional but highly recommended, especially the mini variety.
Step-by-Step Directions

- Weigh the chocolate in the Thermomix bowl and grate for 5 seconds on speed 9.
- Add the milk and heat for 4 minutes at 80°C, speed 2.
- Carefully froth the hot chocolate on speed 9 (with the measuring cap on!).
Recipe Tip
This recipe serves one but can easily be doubled or tripled. If doing so, increase the heating-up time by a minute or two.

Thermomix Luxury Hot Chocolate
A rich, indulgent hot chocolate made with real chocolate and hot milk. Perfect for warming up on a chilly day.
Ingredients
- 35 g dark chocolate, see notes
- 250 g milk of choice, see notes
Optional Toppings
- marshmallows
- grated chocolate
- whipped cream
Instructions
- Add the chocolate to the Thermomix bowl and grate for 5 sec/speed 9. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.
- Add the milk and heat for 4 min/80°C/speed 2 with the measuring cup on.
- Froth the hot chocolate for 30 sec/speed 9, increasing the speed gradually.
- Enjoy whilst it's hot. If doubling or tripling the recipe, you may need to increase the heating time by a minute or two.
Notes
Chocolate: I love dark chocolate, but you could use any chocolate. Milk chocolate is sweet for this recipe, so you might want to reduce the amount added.
