- Add the apples to the Thermomix bowl and chop until small.

- Add the water, lemon juice and sugar and cook for 15 min/90°C/reverse/speed 1. You can serve the sauce as is or blend it until smooth.

If the apple sauce appears a bit watery after cooking, strain it over a bowl using the simmering basket as a strainer. Then, return the sauce to the Thermomix and blend to your desired consistency.
Storage
Apple sauce can be stored in an airtight container or jar in the fridge for 7-10 days. Allow it to cool completely before storing.
Apple sauce can also be frozen for up to three months. Transfer to a freezer-safe container, leaving a little space for expansion, then thaw overnight in the fridge before using.

Thermomix Apple Sauce
Ingredients
- 500 g Granny Smith apples, approximately 5-6 apples, see notes
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons caster sugar
Instructions
- Peel, core and cut the apples into quarters (or small pieces if they are large). Place them in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 5 sec/speed 4. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl with a spatula.
- Add the water, lemon juice and caster sugar. Cook for 15 min/90°C/reverse/speed 1.
- Blend for 5 sec/speed 4 for a chunky sauce, or blend a little longer for a smooth purée-style sauce.
