Quickly whip up this dalgona coffee in the Thermomix in just a few minutes. This simple whipped coffee is made by beating instant coffee granules, sugar and water until thick and frothy, then spooning it over milk.

Dalgona coffee became hugely popular around 2020, with people everywhere trying it at home. It almost feels like magic how such simple ingredients whip up into that fluffy topping.
Recipe Ingredients

Note: The full quantities are shown in the recipe card below.
- Instant coffee granules - use only instant coffee; ground coffee won't work. Depending on your preference, it can be caffeinated or decaffeinated.
- White sugar - use regular white sugar.
- Boiling water
Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1
Place the instant coffee, sugar and boiling water into the mixing bowl and insert the butterfly whisk.

Step 2
Whip for 1 min/speed 3.5, taking off the measuring cup halfway through to let some air in.

Step 3
After the minute, scrape down the sides of the bowl and along the bottom with a spatula. Mix again for 1 min/3.5 until foamy.

Step 4
Spoon over your favourite milk and enjoy!

Thermomix Dalgona Coffee
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee, see notes
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons boiling water
- 400 ml milk of choice
Instructions
- Insert the butterfly whisk. Add the coffee granules, sugar and boiling water to the mixing bowl.
- Whip for 1 min/speed 3.5 with the measuring cup in place. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and along the bottom to loosen any undissolved granules.
- Whip again for 1 min/speed 3.5, without the measuring cup, until light and foamy.
- Spoon over either iced or hot milk and enjoy!

Can we do it with matcha ?

Hi Joey, sorry for the late reply. I've just tried it with matcha and it didn't whip properly like the dalgona. It was still nice though stirred into cold milk and there were no lumps.
